Caramel Apples

A delightful treat, dessert or party favourite. This is treat very popular during the fall but is can be enjoyed at anytime during the year. If you love sweets, you will enjoy this one!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 pkg 350 g caramel

5 granny smith apples

1 pkg Reese's pieces

2 tbsp water

1 pkg wooden skewers

Wash and dry apples. Insert wooden skewers into the stem of each apple. In a sauce pan, set the heat to medium, and melt caramel in the water until smooth. Turn heat off but keep saucepan on burner to keep the caramel from hardening. Dip the apple in the caramel and make sure all sides are coated evenly. Then sprinkle Reese's pieces or any garnish of your choice onto the apples and place on a sheet to cool.
